The Emperor’s Edge no comments
Compared to ten years ago, when references are very limited, now I am very happy with the fact that there are so many yoga online videos available and for free. Still my interest is not satiated, I have been interested with Yoga for about ten years now, I still try to learn everything new about Yoga. There are so many people now that teaches Yoga, goes to a Yoga class, and so many books, and websites that are very helpful in my quest to learn more about it. I also learned that there are so many Guru’s in Yoga, all were schooled in India, in the traditional practices of the Master Yogi’s. Composed of a lot of branches, all of these branches lead to one thing and that is to reach a kind of balance in a person’s life to maintain peace in oneself in day to day dealings with the outer world. I am more inclined to the modern practices with variations that suit a hectic modern life, with progress and diversity of one’s life, though staying true to the original practices and poses is still the best. Abstinence of meat in the diet is one of the main principles of Yoga, there are a lot of people that could attest that this practice is healthy, it’s very difficult for someone to completely follow, if resources like vegetables aren’t readily available in the local market. If vegetables are available then it should be always the first choice, a modern variation for this, is to stay away from red meat, and go for chicken or sea foods instead. After seven years of not eating meat , pork or lamb, I have not missed them at all.
